How does module testing chnge the links in the store to mke them more user-friendly? For n online store to be friendly (i.e. serch engine friendly), it must meet severl importnt conditions. First, it should be well described in content, i.e. hve pproprite descriptions or keywords. I’ve written bout this more thn once on our blog (such s here ). There re lso smller nunces tht unfortuntely re often overlooked, but tht prove to hve just s big n impct on positioning. This includes, for exmple, the construction of links nd, more specificlly. The numbers contined within them. By defult, in , point to product pges nd ctegory C Level Contact List pges contining the numbers for those products or ctegories. The engine developer's gol is to ensure tht links to products or ctegories re not duplicted. Google definitely prefers vluble content over numbers or unintelligible strings. The more understndble the content is, the esier it is to remember nd red correctly, the better. This lso pplies to link building. And these, especilly in stores, re not very cler. Tht’s links into good links. Beutiful URLs Simply put, this module removes the URLs from products, ctegories, pges, nd supplier nd mnufcturer pges in the system nd replces them with the nmes of those products or ctegories, etc. As you cn see, you cn tell which subpge we re on by the ddress in the column. When there is only n identifiction number for the product or pge t the end, the link is essentilly meningless to the verge user.
